DSBG now ranked 62nd in the Shanghai ranking
The DSBG has moved up to 62nd place in the 2023 Shanghai ranking. This is an improvement of 9 positions compared to the previous year, which puts the institution in first place in Switzerland.
For context: In German-speaking countries, the DSBG is ranked 6th.
The Shanghai ranking compares the scientific publication output of sports science and sports medicine institutions. It does not take into account the number of professorships available at an institution. With only four structural professors, the DSBG performs exceptionally well if compared to other international institutions. The DSBG achieves particularly high scores in the areas of international cooperation and in the number of citations per published article.
DSBG neu auf Platz 62 des Shanghai-Rankings
Im Shanghai-Ranking 2023, welches die wissenschaftliche Publikationsleistung von sportwissen-
schaftlichen und sportmedizinischen Institutionen vergleicht, fungiert das DSBG auf Rang 62.
Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr ist dies eine Verbesserung um 9 Positionen.
In der Schweiz belegt das DSBG den ersten Rang; im deutschsprachigen Raum Rang 6.
Nicht berücksichtigt werden im Shanghai-Ranking die an einer Institution vorhandenen Professuren. Mit nur vier strukturellen Professuren schneidet das DSBG im internationalen Vergleich ausserordentlich gut ab. Besonders hohe Werte erreicht es in den Bereichen internationale Zusammenarbeit und bei der Anzahl Zitationen pro publiziertem Beitrag.
