KaziKidz Namibia – new teaching materials for pre-school physical education lessons
The UNESCO Chair at the DSBG in Basel has been collaborating with the University of Namibia (UNAM) and the National Institute for Educational Development Namibia (NIED) for several years. This cooperation has now resulted in another teaching material, entitled 'KaziKidz Pre-Primary, Teaching Material for Physical Education. A School Readiness Programme'.
KaziKidz, is a holistic educational concept that aims to teach children to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through movement, play and sport. The teaching material was developed by a project team from Switzerland, South Africa and Namibia and designed for the pre-school sector (with regard to school readiness). It is based on the Namibian curriculum and was tested on site at Namibian preschools. The content of the teaching material is supported by UNESCO.
A foreword was contributed by Gabriela Ramos, UNESCO Assistant Director General for Social and Human Sciences.

KaziKidz Namibia – neue Lehrmaterialien für den Sportunterricht in der Vorschule
Der UNESCO Chair am DSBG in Basel arbeitet seit einigen Jahren auch mit der University of Namibia (UNAM) und dem National Institute for Educational Development Namibia (NIED) zusammen. Aus dieser Kooperation ist nun ein weiteres Lehrmittel hervorgegangen, mit dem Titel ‘KaziKidz Pre-Primary, Teaching Material for Physical Education. A School Readiness Programme’.
KaziKidz, ist ein ganzheitliches Bildungskonzept, das darauf abzielt, Kinder durch Bewegung, Spiel und Sport anzuleiten, einen aktiven und gesunden Lebensstil zu führen. Das Unterrichts-
material wurde von einem Projektteam aus der Schweiz, Südafrika und Namibia entwickelt und für den Bereich der Vorschule konzipiert. Es basiert auf dem namibischen Lehrplan und wurde vor Ort an namibischen Vorschulen getestet. Inhaltlich unterstützt wird das Lehrmittel von der UNESCO. Ein Vorwort wurde von Gabriela Ramos, UNESCO Assistant Director General for Social and Human Sciences, beigetragen.
